ABOUT US

ICLARS is an international network of scholars and experts of law and religion.
It was founded in 2007 with the aim of providing a forum where information, data, and opinions could be readily exchanged among members and made available to the broader scientific community. To this end, ICLARS regularly organizes conferences and publishes a book series with Routledge and a newsletter. The first ICLARS conference was held in Milan in 2009. It has been followed by conferences in Santiago (Chile) in 2011; Richmond, Virginia (USA) in 2013; and Oxford in 2016. The proceedings have been published by Ashgate and Routledge. More information is provided in the ICLARS Newsletter, published three-four times every year.
From its very beginning, ICLARS has been open to all those interested in matters concerning law and religion, irrespective of political or religious opinions. Therefore we invite everybody to become a member of ICLARS and to send us suggestions and proposals concerning law and religion studies and research projects.
